~A Letter as Written by Joan Schroeder

Over the years, I have shared with many people the wonderful success story of Blazing Hot and how he has made such an impact in my family’s life, as well as the Quarter Horse industry…he is the horse that every horseman or horsewoman dreams of producing. On April 17th, 2015, Blazing Hot will turn 23…due to his superior bloodlines, his heart, intelligence and character, good bone and foot, his health, brilliant and happy personality, he continues to sire great offspring year after year.

For those that are unfamiliar with Blazing Hot’s show career, it all began in 1994 when he won the Congress 2-year-old Western Pleasure futurity unanimously with Keith Whistle. I took over the show reins in 1995 and had perfect rides at the Quarter Horse Congress winning the 3-year-old Open and Limited Western Pleasure Futurities. Blazing Hot completed his show career at the 1996 World Show with Robbie Schroeder winning the Jr. Western Riding and Joan Schroeder winning later that evening in the Jr. Western Pleasure. There are a few reasons that make his wins really special.

  • Blazing Hot was the first horse that Robbie Schroeder ever showed in the Western Riding at the World Show and was named 1996 World Champion, winning by 3 1/2 points
  • Joan was the only female in the Jr. Western Pleasure at the 1996 AQHA World Show and along with her partner, Blazing Hot, was named World Champion
  • Blazing Hot is still the only horse to ever win the AQHA World Show in both Jr. Western Riding and Jr. Western Pleasure in the same year, same day

As a sire, it is no accident that Blazing Hot has had such an impact in the pleasure horse industry…he is a fifth generation of pleasure horse champions, both his sire’s and dam’s bloodlines.  I do not believe there is another stallion at this time that can boast of these credentials….

  • Blazing Hot has sired offspring that have earnings in excess of $3 Million Dollars
  • Blazing Hot has sired World Champions in numerous events including Western Pleasure, Western Riding, Hunter Under Saddle, Trail, Tie Down Roping and Heading, Heeling and all Youth and Amateur events
  • Blazing Hot has sired Champions in every major futurity including two (2) horses that won $100,000 at the Reichert Celebration and sired the 2010 Congress Masters Champion, “A Slow Burn”
  • Blazing Hot is the sire of numerous stallions that have themselves become prominent sires
  • Blazing Hot, his sire, Hotrodders Jet Set and grand sire, Zippo Pine Bar, are all inductees of the NSBA Hall of Fame

My passion continues to strive in breeding the next great stallion or great mare that will impact the show world or the breeding community, or a non-pro’s endeavors to perfection in the show arena, or the make another child’s dreams come true as mine was so many years ago by a great horse.

Blazing Hot will stand to the public in 2015 for $3,000 unless you are a past supporter or wish to breed a Champion Show mare or producer of a World, Congress or NSBA World Champion in which the fee is a special rate of $2,500. Your foal will be eligible for numerous events, especially the Western Pleasure Super Sires program.  The WPSS consists of only 15 stallions in which their offspring are entitled to show at three (3) years of age in a Non-Pro Western Pleasure event for major cash and awards that exceed over $200,000 in a two-year period.

For all mare owners, I have sought out two (2) young AQHA stallions that I am certain have the bloodlines that will cross perfectly on Blazing Hot daughters as well as many other lineages.  Nite Moves is by the famous Certain Potential (whose dam is my beloved Miss Surely Bars) and out of the great mare, Dotevita.  Nite Moves full brother, A Certain Vino, is one of the all-time favorite World and Congress Champions.  One N Only is by the prominent sire Invitation Only and out of the high money earning dam, Weretalkinradical, who also had an impeccable show record of her own.  Both of these stallions possess one of the most important factors that I am sure set Blazing Hot apart from other sires; it’s the mare’s bloodlines…the bottom side.  Another important fact is that both stallions are a part of the exclusive Western Pleasure Super Sire program which again will assist you in marketing your offspring!

If you are interested in raising a Champion Paint horse I am standing Erin Bradshaw’s APHA multiple World Champion, John Simon, for the third year.  As in my AQHA stallions, John Simon has superior parents.  His sire is Special Invitation who is by Invitation Only and dam is Sensational Leaguer out of the infamous APHA sire, Zippos Sensation and out of the superior producer, AQHA dam, Cookie Leaguer.

And last, but not least, all the aforementioned stallions are owned by quality, talented and passionate horse enthusiasts that have dedicated many years to the equine industry in attaining their goals.  They all believe in their stallions, understand the necessity of marketing as well as accommodating their customers in order to drive their stallion to the top.

To sum it up, I am thankful to the many customers throughout the past 20 years that have believed, supported trusted in me and my horse…I cannot express my love and gratitude to Blazing Hot for all he has given me, especially his heart and soul…You just have to be around him to appreciate how great he is; he has done exactly what God intended for him to do…carry on the great family of genetics that sets him apart from the rest.

Thankful for the Ride…

Joan
